Description:
When trying to play online, you experience any of these issues:
- People cannot join your game and they may get the error message "Game in progress"
- You keep getting disconnected when trying to play online
- You see the error message "Can't connect to Unity Relay Server"
Solution:
This is most likely caused by something interfering with your network connection. This is not related to the speed of your Internet, but to your ping to the game servers. If your ping is high, or if it fluctuates a lot, you are likely to lose your connection to the game servers.
Here are some things that can cause a high ping:
- You are using a wireless connection. Try getting closer to the router, or switch to a wired Internet connection. An Internet connection will have a lower ping.
- You are using a VPN. Because a VPN makes your connection transit through a remote location, often in a different country, your ping will be much higher. If at all possible, avoid using a VPN to play Ultimate Chicken Horse; or find one that is based on a location that's closer to you.
- You are currently running another software that is interfering with connectivity. Here is a list of common types of software that could be causing you to have bad connectivity for the game. You should try turning them off or changing their settings to see if they're causing the issue.
