Description

When you use your controller with Ultimate Chicken Horse, you always control two cursors instead of one, and that prevents you from playing normally.

Solution

There's a few things that can cause you to have double inputs with your controller on a computer. This happens when the game's controller compatibility software and other controller software on your computer are independently recognizing the controller.

  • This can happen when your controller is plugged in with a wire, but for some reason your computer is also seeing the controller via Bluetooth. Try unplugging the controller to see if it keeps happening.

  • This can happen when you use a program to emulate a standard controller for other games, like x360ce, but our game already recognizes the controller natively. Try turning off your emulator program to play Ultimate Chicken Horse.

Steam

If the above solutions didn't work, you should try changing the Steam controller support settings.

  1. In Steam, open Settings
  2. Go to Controller, then General Controller Settings
  3. You should see your controller listed as Detected. Depending on the type of controller, toggle the corresponding Configuration Support box above. (If the box isn't checked, check it; if it is, uncheck it)
  4. Launch Ultimate Chicken Horse and see if the controller works now.
