You have many options to customize game rules in Ultimate Chicken Horse, and you can save those customized rules as Presets.

In the Menu, go to Rules & Modifiers.

The Game Rules tab allows you to customize:

  • Points to Win: How many points are needed to win a game based on score
  • Length Limit: What's the longest a game can be (in rounds or in minutes)
  • Placement Timer: How long you have to place items
  • Run Time Limit: How long you have to run through the level every turn
  • Respawn: If you have extra attempts when you die
  • Party Box: If you get one, two, or no Party Box in Party mode
  • Pieces per Round: How many pieces each player gets to place each round in Creative mode

The Point Settings tab allows you to change the value of each type of point, and choose if they are always awarded, even if nobody or everybody reaches the goal.

  • Goal points are given to players who have reached the goal alive
  • Solo points are extra points when you're the only player to reach the goal
  • Postmortem points are given to players who reach the goal after dying
  • Trap points are awarded every time another player dies on a trap you placed
  • Coin points are extra points when you reach the goal after getting a Coin
  • Comeback points are extra points when you reach the goal as an Underdog; Underdog means you haven't reached the goal for the past 2 (or more) turns while others have
  • First, Second, Third, and Fourth points are awarded depending on the order in which players reached the goal in a round

The Block Probability tab allows you to tweak the probability that individual blocks will appear in the Party Box. You can also disable some blocks completely if you want.

The Modifiers tab allows you to add a wide range of gameplay modifiers, like high gravity, multiple jumps, player collisions, dead hops, jetpacks, dance invincibility, faster projectiles, doomsday lava, and many more!

When you have found game rules that you like, you can save them as a Preset so you don't have to enter them all manually every time you play. On the main Rules tab, press the Save as... button and select New Preset to give your rule set a name and description. To load this Preset in the future, press the Load... button or the button right under Preset at the top of the tab.
