We don't have plans to add this feature.
It's complicated to add, and would require us to change a lot of the code for online games and some of the game User Interface (UI).
Instead, we recommend playing local multiplayer with a single docked Switch on a TV, or making private online lobbies to play together if you only have handheld devices.
